Checkin was seamless. The bathroom had not been cleaned. The floors and table top were also gross. We called and they sent a housekeeper to clean the bathroom, yet when we returned, it was still not to simple standards (hair on counter, stuff towards the back wall of the shower, etc). The location is amazing, though…. No view, but quick walk to ferry, food, shopping, etc.

The general manager of the hotel was nice and smart and seemed to be trying to hold a lot of things together. He was helpful and tried to make things better. The electricity was not working consistently. The elevator was not working a lot of the time. The refrigerator didn't work for some of the time. The phone never worked. The air conditioner turned off when the electricity was off, making the room unbearably hot. No way to call down to the reception except climbing several flights of stairs. The wifi didn't work for a few days. There was noisy construction going on a lot. Cleaning only happened after asking many times. Often they would promise cleaning would come and then they would not send anyone. On a number of occasions, I had to ask repeatedly for toilet paper to be delivered, and nearly ran out of toilet paper. Cigarette ashes from a previous guest clogged the bathroom sink making it unusable, as it would not drain properly.

Phone was not functioning from beginning of my stay, making me have to climb several flights of stairs to inform the front desk when my electricity was cut out due to construction. The room was cleaned only after several days of complaining. When the electricity was cut out, I was in the dark with no air conditioning on numerous occasions in very hot weather.

Hotel was non smoking, though I found ashes from cigarettes in the sink. The bathroom sink was flooding and unusable. The electricity was frequently out because of construction being done on the building. The cleaning people only came after much insisting with the front desk. The night time receptionist didn't speak English very well, and made it difficult to check out. The elevator worked inconsistently and sometimes required a multi flight walk up. Wifi Internet was unavailable for part of my stay. The location is great and the room had a kitchen. The main manager seemed very smart and seemed to be holding together a lot of moving parts. He was very helpful when he was available, and made the stay bearable.

We stayed in the Family Suite. It was very spacious and well fitted out. Cleaning and towel change daily with water supplied daily too. Within 5 minutes walk to main street with numerous restaurants, bars and shops. Within 10 minutes walk to seafront and ferry terminal. Although close to all amenities it is set in a quiet back street so noise is minimal. Staff were very freindly and helpful. If you are a smoker there is an allocated smoking area between the reception and the restaurant. We were room only but breakfast is available if you wish which looked very good. Would fully recommend a stay here and will definitely be returning.

The quality of this hotel is beyond what the reviews say! Ozan at the front desk was very friendly and helpful! He got us a taxi and suggested places to go and how to get there. The location is phenomenal! It is walking distance to everything. It is a 2 minute walk to Migros (supermarket) , 2 minutes from cafe's and restaurants, and 3 minutes from the beautiful pier. The room itself was very clean and spacious. I got the King bed Jr. Suite and it was so nice to have a full kitchen to cook meals in and the window seals are awesome for hanging out with coffee. You can spot so many cute kitties outside! Also on Sundays the farmers market sets up right in front of the hotel which is a wonderful experience. There's also an art museum that is a 4 minute walk that's worth experiencing. Overall best hotel I stayed at and I tried 4 different hotels on this trip. Best one in Izmir! I'd go back again!

This was definitely the worst experience I've ever had in a hotel. The staff was round. The receptionist was the worst of all. The highlight was when he called me at eleven thirty at night to tell me to go down to the reception to pay him. I can't describe to you in a few words what the man was telling me and in general how many tragedies I saw in this hotel. The room was quite dirty, forgotten hairs and soaps from the previous tenants and of course the room was never cleaned on the second day. And the breakfast was very very very poor, however the person who was there was very kind, he may have been the only one in the hotel.

I found the riva hotel to be okay but I wasn’t thrilled about the place either. The room needed some work done. I went to cook something on the stove and the light in the kitchen part of the room was burning out and flickering. Online they say the hotel offers a breakfast but the reception never told me any information about it. I went down at 9:00 am and the dining area was empty. In addition, the bathroom was set up strangely. There was almost no space in between the toilet and the shower. I’m only 5’2 and had barley enough space to bend my legs to use the toilet. On my last night of my stay, I learned just how thin the walls of the hotel are. With my hotel room door closed and locked, I could hear a couple across the hall from me having loud sexual relations. It was pretty disturbing. Overall I didn’t spend that much time in the hotel itself cause I was out for most of my time in Izmir but for the price I paid, I don’t think my stay at this hotel was with it.

İş seyahatimiz için gittiğimiz izmirde toplantıların uzamasına istinaden kalmak için tuttuğumuz otel odası gecelik konaklamalar için uygun. Odalar temizdi. Lokasyonu alsancak ve kordonda dolaşmak ve yemek yemek için uygun. Bu kadar iyi şeyin arasında anlaşmalı otoparkımız var diyip normalin çok üstünde otopark parası ödettikleri için tekrar geri dönmeyeceğim.
