I had an excellent stay at the Sligachan Hotel. The hotel is steps away from breathtaking scenery for walking or hiking and a quick bus/car ride to Portree for shopping and dinner. Martin, the manager, was so helpful and kind. He drove my friend and I from Portree to our train because the bus schedule that day was not aligning well with our train schedule and morning activities. He also gave us great tips on the best things to do on the Isle of Skye and made sure that all of the guests were enjoying their stay. The breakfast was high quality - I loved the smoked salmon and eggs and the fresh fruits and yogurts. The receptionists were always friendly and helpful whenever we had any questions. I would recommend the Sligachan hotel to anyone who wants a comfortable stay right near the Cuillian Mountains and a quick commute to Portree.

Ideal location to roll into and roll out for the Ferry and explore the top of Skye - we’ve stayed many times before and always received a warm welcome and enjoyed a comfortable stay.

Just lovely. Clean and well appointed room. Unexpectedly bountiful breakfast (photos). Would appreciate details on non potable water, such as if safe for toothbrushing or if bottled water to be used.

After an overnight flight to Scotland I appreciated the warm room, good shower, and wonderful hot Full Scottish breakfast!

Very cozy, clean and friendly. I would definateky stay there again.
