Holidays in Imin

Been up 'til dawn way too often lately? Dying for a break and a few early nights? Imin might just be the ticket. It's set among the coastal plains, forests, rivers and lakes of South Gyeongsang — nice and off the beaten track. (We bet you'll feel so relaxed, you'll be under the blankets by sunset!)

It lies 310 kilometres southeast of Seoul, the capital city of South Korea.

Sitting 75 kilometres to the east, Haeundae Beach is a delightful spot to while away a day scanning the horizon for ships. Gwangalli Beach also offers visitors some lovely views. You'll find this enticing stretch of coastline 70 kilometres to the east.

The soft sounds of the natural world await you at Hallyeo-haesang National Park. It lies just 20 kilometres away, so you won't have to be stuck inside your car all day. Oedo Paradise Island, 40 kilometres away, is another recommended choice.

Sports enthusiasts won't be left out in the cold during their stay. Masan Stadium is 35 kilometres away in Changwon and a great place to get your sporting fix. Remember to check the event calendar to see what's on.

How about visiting Gujora Beach and the Geoje Sea Village Folk Museum? These brilliant sights are quite close to the centre of Geoje, just 30 kilometres southeast. Base yourself here for a while and do some exploring!

Approximately 55 kilometres to the northeast, Kimhae-si is a destination with lots on offer. Royal Tomb of King Suro, the Gimhae Bonghwangdong Historic Site and Daeseongdong Tombs Museum are all quite close. That said, the Gimhae National Museum and Hanshin Reports are also worthy.

An invigorating way to explore the greater region is to embark on an outdoor adventure. Mountain climbing is one of the most popular activities here. But if you'd rather try something else, you could always go hiking.

When the time comes to pack up your bags and head to your next destination, the closest terminal, Gimhae Airport (PUS), is 60 kilometres to the east.
