The manager was horrible, and the management overall was terrible. It felt like South Africa in the 1970s. No one was at the property when we arrived. There was no cell phone service, and after driving one kilometer inside the reserve, they still refused to give us the Wi-Fi password. The employees seemed afraid to call the manager, and when she finally arrived, she still did not provide the Wi-Fi access. After telling us she was going to get it from her office, she disappeared for three hours. At that point, we decided it was time to end the nightmare. Waking with the lion we cancelled that activity If you are Black, this is not the place to stay: Fathala Wildlife Reserve. After a 10-hour drive, this was a major disappointment. Visit the wildlife reserve only. The staff are excellent, and the guides are professional and highly proficient in their work. You can find better hotels near the reserve for your stay. Most guests seem to have a good experience with the safari itself.

Beautiful space with an incredibly kind staff who go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The chambers are wonderfully designed, and spacious. Everything is well maintained, and the cooking is absolutely wonderful. If you can, definitely go full-board. The surrounding town and mangroves are beautiful, and all the lodge's activities are thoughtfully planned, authentic, and easy to coordinate. Am planning on returning as soon as possible. Room was unique - but spotlessly clean and well appointed. I did not see a an air con unit.

I have a great time in Keur Saloum Resort. Great staff and good service.

I’m greatly moved by the ecological mission and remote setting of this hotel, however one must really be close to nature to truly enjoy. I also believe the activities I partook in and food was overpriced.
