From Houffalize, journey 130 kilometres to the southeast to get to Saarbruecken, an important city. You can also go 180 kilometres east to discover another major city, Wiesbaden.

There's no need to travel for hours to experience some outstanding natural sights. Hop in the car and follow the road signs to Caves of Hans, 40 kilometres away from Houffalize, for a relaxed day. Or perhaps Botrange Nature Park Center is more your thing? It sits just 45 kilometres away.

Interested in stopping by the Battle of the Bulge Museum and La Roche-en-Ardenne Castle? They're right near the centre of La Roche-en-Ardenne, 12 kilometres to the west. Alternatively, you could go to Bertogne. It's 13 kilometres to the southwest of Houffalize and well-known for the American Memorial and the Bastogne Historical Centre.
