Left after a few hours, found another hotel. First room was dirty, had clothes from previous occupants, fake eye lashes stuck to floor, staff was nice and provided a new room, appeared better until we came back from dinner. Cockroaches on pillows and in bathroom. Packed up kids and left. Staff didnt seem to care or interested why we checked out 6 hours after getting there.

Mixed feelings

We stayed in a historic room for $1 more than an updated room. Good thing, because I would have been upset if it had been considerably more. The bed was updated and amazingly comfortable with a variety of pillows. The room itself was shoddy. Even a historic room can be properly maintained. (Missing tiles with dirt, peeling and bubbled paint, dimly lit hallways were creepy, etc). Beautiful lobby with good front desk staff. LOVED access to spigots for natural spring water. Would stay again in updated room/floor.

This was the nastiest hotel we have ever stays at. They literally put in a construction area of the hotel, there yeah on the floor, paint was peeling, tub was nasty and grose, paint was chipped everywhere. Beds were sunk in the middle, you couldn’t control the temp, bathroom vents had mold and dust hanging out of them, and the tub didn’t drain! It was so disgusting. And we came home with bug bites from sleeping there!

Lobby and dining room were fantastic. Rates were great. Hallways are dark and feel unsafe. Rooms are not renovated and require maintenance. We stayed two nights. On our final night (Saturday) there was a local band playing heavy metal music in the lobby. It sounded like they were in the room next door even though we were five stories up. I called to ask if they could tone it down and the manager seemed pleased that it bothered us touting them as a local band that would finish up around 11 p.m. We had an eight hour drive the next day and expected a quiet night to sleep. Not here. It's a cool hotel but we need sleep.

This is a historic property and it is undergoing restoration and renovation activities, and they a doing a wonderful job. Weekends there is always live music in the large ground floor area and bar area. All staff were very professional and put their patrons first.

Historical but needs updates badly

Overall not too impressed. Booked for updated room and got an old room. Lots of room noises made it hard to sleep. Also pets allowed on our floor which wouldn’t be an issue but evidently twice dog didn’t make it downstairs because pile in hall smelling it up and another guest stepped in it on first incident. WiFi basically nonexistent only 1 bar. Finally they advertise hot tub open year around but it was not. There is some historical charm to the hotel especially the lobby and porch area but not impressed.

Staff were all great. April and Ashley in the lobby bar were very friendly and informative about local things. Furnishings in the room were nice, however the room was in serious need of renovations. The heat and air were not functioning properly. To be fair, we failed to tell them upon checkout. There were 2 tissues in the box in the bathroom. Not ideal. The tub looked like it needed a DEEP clean. It probably needed to have the porcelain redone. Overall, i would definitely stay there again. I would recommend this hotel.

Hot Springs History

Great stay at a great hotel and spa! Love staying there and enjoyed the character and service there! Can’t wait to see the renovations of the rooms! Loved the breakfast buffet!
