When you stay at Sandpiper Beach Cabanas in Hopkins, you'll be within a short 2-minute drive from Hopkins Pier.
When there is seaweed, there is garbage enclosed, so beach and swimming is out. Cabanas are good though

Our stay here was absolutely perfect. Everyone nice and helpful. The rooms were spacious and spotless with a view of the water from deck. The pool and beach were amazing and the Rum Shack made fantastic drinks and food. Would highly recommend
