We really loved our stay at Vive Hotel; it’s in such a wonderfully walkable spot, the price is comfortable mid-range, and the daily breakfast is simple but appreciated: think toast, pastries, fresh papaya and melon, warm oatmeal, and rotating eggs with bacon or sausage, all self-serve and easy. The welcome pineapple juice was such a sweet touch, and they even checked in on our anniversary stay by text, which felt genuinely thoughtful. We did have a small hiccup with housekeeping one day when our room wasn’t cleaned by mid-afternoon and we were trying to nap when they arrived, but they quickly brought us fresh towels so it all worked out. The rooms have window AC, great water pressure, and practical amenities -nothing super fancy, but everything you need. The resort fee covers fun extras like borrowed beach chairs, bags, sunscreen, and a cute little library. Friendly staff, safe atmosphere, and a price that doesn’t make your wallet cry… we felt so welcome here and would absolutely recommend it.

The room is tight and the bed is small. But if you are regular size it is fine. Otherwise it is a great place to stay. Location is perfect.

Room 1004 had cockroaches in the room. Hotel refunded only two nights of amenities to address the inconvenience. Also, the rental van booked with Expedia did not fit inside their garage or any Waikīkī Hotel garage. Eventually I had to park in the side streets. Later, the vehicle was cited and towed costing me $500 along with a whole days worth of locating the impounded vehicle and having to uber back to the airport car rental for another vehicle. What could have been improved is inspecting the rooms for pests like cockroaches which is a big deal before having guests stay in the rooms. Also, it would’ve been great if the rental car company and the hotels disclose that there is a height restrictions for certain passenger vans upfront. Lesson learn and hopefully this can be passed onto other guests.

We have stayed in a lot of hotels in Waikiki and if I could give the Vive more than a five star we certainly would this will always be our go-to hotel now. The staff are genuine friendly and kind and the place is always clean. Amazing lobby area for visiting or just sitting and reading a book. Well designed Hotel 10 star.

From arriving, the staff at Vive was wonderful. We were greeted by a welcoming valet member, checked in by a helpful front desk worker, and enjoyed our clean room that had a small complimentary snack to celebrate our special occasion for traveling. After catching a nap, we enjoyed hot tea at their 24 hr tea/ coffee bar and had a nice chat with the front desk worker. The hotel has a contemporary vibe, beautiful murals on each floor when exiting the elevator, and the dining/ living room common space has two murals from Hawaiian artist, Punky Aloha--- love her stuff, so this was a nice surprise!!! The hotel offers a complimentary breakfast and beach gear- towels, chairs, umbrella, boogie board, and even sand tops for the kids. The beach is 3 blocks away from the hotel and simple to get to. We were only there 1 night but would definitely come back to stay with Vive if we get the chance. Mahalo!

Upon arrival we were greeted by amazing and friendly valet, Art. He hustled and was so professional and courteous. We were checked in by friendly staff and welcomed with a beverage. The lobby was nicely decorated and had a lot of amenities. Then we went to our room. At first glance, the room was smaller than expected. “Cozy” is a term most might use however cozy is a kind way to put it. That wasn’t so much the issue but the “beat up” state of the room. The room had clean linens and towels; however the walls were extremely banged up- scuffed and scraped— beyond a normal wear and tear. The bathroom was so tiny you could barely turn around in it — however it is what it is— the issue was the cleanliness. As you look around more the grime on the walls - light switches-baseboards and behind toilet was gross. Just seemed like the room needed some major maintenance and upkeep. I booked the room based on reviews and price however for the price I was very disappointed. I would have given the hotel a 2 star however due to the great friendly staff and Valet - Art and I believe (Daniel?- morning valet) I feel they deserve 5 stars on their own!

I’ve stayed at the Vive Hotel Waikiki three times now, and it's still a fantastic choice. The location is hard to beat—just a short walk to the beach, restaurants, and everything in Waikiki. The complimentary breakfast is very good, with enough variety to start the day well, and the rooms are pretty nice and comfortable. The staff went above and beyond for my partner’s birthday, and the welcome gift they prepared was truly top-notch, making our stay feel extra special. The only downside is that the in-room AC can be quite noisy at night, so that light sleepers might notice it. Overall, though, Vive remains a favourite, and I’d happily stay here again.
