I had a great stay at The Surfjack! All of the staff were incredibly friendly and courteous. Daily beach towels are available at the front desk. Upon arrival, check in was a breeze- quick and easy. My room was great, the floor could have been swept a bit better but not a huge deal. The lanai overlooking the pool and the “wish you were here” was pretty cool. The room has a/c as well as a ceiling fan which is nice. The live band in the evenings (Tuesday-Friday) is also a nice touch to the ambiance. The onsite restaurant and bar ‘ Mahina and Suns ‘ has great food options with even better drinks at affordable prices. Oh and super friendly/ attentive servers and bartenders. Overall stay was amazing! Dog friendly, military friendly. There were several servicemen and women staying there which was awesome to see. Will definitely stay there again.

Cannot say enough good things about this adorable little hidden gem of a hotel!! From the moment you walk onto the property, an open-air, Bali-style entrance with pool in the courtyard, Surfjack impresses. Very friendly & helpful local front desk, very clean, great cool AC, balcony with a little table and chairs. The location is excellent, right in the middle of town, a 6 minute walk to the beach, cute little coffee shop attached, a nice restaurant/bar with happy hour specials on site, ABC store on the corner, food truck across the street, Thai restaurant next door, and every shop/restaraunt just a block away...yet it was still very serene & tranquil, a little oasis off the main street. Each night there's great live music by the pool. Pet-friendly, and there's even a Tuesday meet&greet with the resident hotel dog. There's a free little coffee setup each morning next to the pool, and a HiWater Technology water machine in the pool area to refill water bottles. Shower area included shampoo/conditioner/body wash, and the hotel even provided beach towels to take to the beach. Room does also include a little fridge. Beds were very comfortable. Amazing value for the price. 1000% will stay here on our next trip!

Only spent one night after a week on the North Shore before flying out. Cool little place. Not chaos like most Waikiki resorts. Kind staff. Clean rooms and common areas. Will stay there again next time through.

It was a plain room, clean/ staff were around but average, just doing their jobs. No attempts at engagement. However, good location and Low priced. We left one day early and tried to advise Expedia on Thursday and Friday but was told to deal with it after we checked out.

The staff at Surfjack was very courteous, kind and supportive however, we did not have hot water. The water will stay hot for 10 seconds before returning to cold. We had to be switched to another room on our last night and still had cold water. My only complaint.

Staff was so friendly. Coffee shop right near front desk, this place has a very chill no frills vibe. I loved it. Clean and comfy beds. They also have free coffee near the pool in the morning..at night you can go down and grab a drink at the bar. Live music. I had assumed parking was on site or a valet could park my car. So you check in leave your stuff and then take your car about 2 blocks away. It’s not that bad of a walk but in the city after a long day of travel or exploring just be prepared for that. One night I found street parking but was worried I’d get towed or ticketed. Overall really enjoyed this place.

I’ll start with the best parts, the front desk people were always helpful and pleasant. The bartenders were all great, I believe we were served by 3 different guys during a week long stay and all were great. The bar and pool deck areas were very nice, a great place to hangout, particularly in the evening with live music to enjoy. We had dinner there on the pool deck one evening and the music in the background was very nice. The area is very walkable, less than 10 minutes to the beach, tons of restaurants and entertainment venues very close by. The room was less than perfect, we did the suite with balcony which was plenty spacious. The furniture is pretty worn although the bed was comfortable. In the cleanliness category I’d give it a C+ (my wife’s rating might be a bit lower) the shower area in particular could use a deep cleaning. Apparently room service is on a special request basis, not sure that in our 5 day stay the room ever had more than the towels refreshed. All in I think from a value perspective they did pretty well, you can spend a ton of money on a hotel in this area and at the end of the day experience the same things.

You could hear everything happening in the lobby from the bedroom. There were so many bugs and larvae when we woke up, covering the bed, our faces and arms and the floor. It went into our clothes and souvenirs. We had to throw out so much goods, worth up to $500.
