Hotels in Holar are limited. With just one place on offer within a 30 kilometres radius, you better act fast.

As if being so close to Holar wasn't enough, Lonkot Rural Resort also offers some seriously comfy beds.

Everyone knows Aussies are pretty relaxed, so consider kicking back a little longer and checking out the Grettislaug and the Tannery Visitor Centre in Saudarkrokur, 20 kilometres to the west of Holar. The Hotel Mikligardur and Hotel Tindastóll are some of the great hotel and apartment options here. Karuna is in a very quiet quiet area. There's a vast land and mountain ranges behind the property. There's a beautiful restaurant in the property. There's also a common kitchen, equipped with everything you'll need. Our room was very spacious. It looks like a newly constructed place, or just well maintained. It has a home-y feel. It also has a hot tub and sauna facing the mountains. It's a good place to stargaze and try to find Aurora. Although it was cloudy that night, so no luck for us. We'll definitely go back if I happen to be around the area again.
