Hays Winery Accommodation

My family and I were only staying the weekend for a competition. We didn't want to pay an arm and a leg for a hotel room. We saw the reviews and thought ok, This will be fine. Little did we know we were DEAD WRONG! Our first room had empty beer bottles in one of the drawers and the bathroom door was locked. The second room didn't have a lock on the bathroom, what looked like a shart stain on the mattress and a mouse trap beside the bed, our third room had a horrible smell. We ended up leaving the hotel all together. I understand that you get what you pay for, but all I ask for is at least a clean room!

The only downside I experienced is that the free wifi at only 15mbs is so slow as to be worthless. I even had trouble retrieving email. Otherwise everything else was fine as the facilty is undergoing remodeling.

This is quite possibly the nicest Hampton Inn we have ever been in. It is an absolutely beautiful hotel. Very clean, updated, nice staff, great breakfast, comfortable beds, etc. It is also located in a beautiful setting not far from a very nice winery. And bonus!....the hotel has a wine bar located inside.

It's still winter! No pool. Only there for the night. It was clean. Staff friendly. It is under renovation. The dining area doesn't have enough seating for full reservations.
