The property was perfectly placed in a little back street of the old quarter. The decor provided an air of authenticity. The staff were really personable and went above and beyond. The food was excellent with a wide of options for breakfast. I have several dietary requirements and often struggle to find anywhere that can accommodate. The staff were attentive and always happy to point out what was safe for me to eat. I would recommend this boutique stay anyone wanting something a little more unique. My time there at Kecho made my stay at Hanoi even more memorable.

Kecho Legacy is a hidden gem tucked away in a small alleyway in Hanoi. You can tell the owner truly values and respects the city’s history, every corner and detail is thoughtfully and meticulously designed. Our room was both beautiful and comfortable. The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly. We’ll definitely be coming back to stay next time!

Beautiful traditional vietnamese interior. The staff were always so welcoming and helpful. They truly made our stay extra special. We booked 3 rooms for 2 nights as we planned a trip to Sapa and then back 1 night before another trip to Ninh Binh and 1 more night before heading back to Hanoi. The breakfast selection was delicious. I love that we were within the old quarter but this hotel was hidden from the main st and even if you have windows and a balcony… not much view to take in… however we were always out and about.

This has been one of our favorite hotel stays ever! The staff at Kecho Legacy are phenomenal! They provided incredible service as well as recommendations for the area. The location is in the heart of old quarter, but google maps made it very easy to find. The sky bar on top of the hotel is an absolute must, and their breakfast buffet was superb. If you’re looking for highly detailed and classic Vietnamese architecture, amazing service, a luxurious and convenient spa, and a comfortable bed all in the center of beautiful Old Quarter Hanoi, I’d highly recommend Kecho Legacy.

My partner and I loved this property with the help of google maps this location was easy to find and in the heart of so many activities. Hotel staff is very nice and kind and can help get you tickets to many different activities like boat tours and tickets to the water puppet show. They have a wonderful bar with great drinks and overview of the city as well as a spa. It’s very close to the night markets as well. The room itself is very beautiful and bed is comfortable. Overall I would recommend this hotel to anybody whose first time in Hanoi because staff makes great recommendations and is English speaking friendly. 💕💕

Excellent Boutique Hotel in the Heart of Hanoi Tucked away in a quiet alley in the heart of the Old Quarter, this boutique hotel is a true gem. The alley is peaceful at night, providing a restful atmosphere, and transforms into a bustling local meat market around 8 a.m.—a fascinating glimpse into daily Hanoi life. The breakfast is fantastic, offering a great start to the day. After exploring the city, the rooftop skybar is the perfect spot to unwind with a drink and enjoy the view. Special thanks to the wonderful front desk staff, Anna and Tracy, who went above and beyond to make our stay seamless. They helped us book transportation, shared their favorite local food spots, and even gave us recommendations for activities in other cities we planned to visit in Vietnam. We were so fortunate to be helped by Tracy and Anna during our stay. They shared so much local knowledge and helped plan additional tours. Their friendliness was so welcoming after a hot day of traveling. The spa was also exceptional! The breakfast pho and hospitality staff were amazing. I can't say enough about the staff. All (especially Anna) were extremely helpful arranging for SIM cards, tours, etc. When the AC went out in the room, 5 people got to work on the issue immediately. We were offered a change of room (which we didn't accept) and free massages for the issue, even though AC was repaired in a few hours. The hotel is cute and quaint, located in an alley. Roomy with a great shower. Excellent location in the Old Quarter, just steps away from tons of shopping and restaurants.

Very nice hotel! The staff were wonderful and went above and beyond in ensuring we were safe and enjoying our time in Hanoi. In particularly, Anna was a wonderful employee who checked in with me when I became ill from food poisoning and helped us book tours and recommended what to eat while I was not feeling well. Top notch service, breakfast was amazing with both western and Vietnamese options, sky bar was also very nice. There was a lizard in our room but it quickly went away and the shower had some difficulty draining but none of that was a huge issue compared to the positives from our stay. Would definitely recommend this hotel for those coming to Hanoi!

A hidden gem in the Old Quarter

This is a very good hotel - clean, and excellently located right in the heart of the Old Quarter. The staff is incredibly kind and attentive, always ready to help with a smile. I highly recommend visiting the restaurant, and especially the rooftop bar for a pleasant experience with beautiful views of Hanoi.

The Kecho Legacy is just 50 rooms, and yet a masterpiece of affordable luxury, and my absolute favourite place to stay in Hanoi. The care and detail taken in the beautiful heritage furniture and decoration, by the most committed and personable owner I have ever encountered is a lesson to other hotels. You will not only be impressed by the facilities that include an incredibly designed rooftop skybar that will definitely surprise you, restaurant, excellent breakfast buffet plus made-to-order included, beautiful and relaxing spa facility, you will be amazed that a 50 room place can have all these trimmings. The service from staff matches the quality of the building and they go out of their way to ensure transport will get right to the door and not leave without you (this can be a challenge for the first-time old-quarter traveller), or park your hire moped securely, organise a sim card to be brought to the hotel for you, or anything at all you need. I rarely like to be this effusive about anywhere, but this is, and will always be, my home in Hanoi.
