No rest for us in this hotel
Travelling through Europe I was looking for a nice quiet hotel in Pattensen.
I called 2 days before my arrival and been told about the nice restaurant of the hotel that would be open when I arrive after my 10 hours of drive.
When I arrived at 6.30pm the reception was closed but someone from the restaurant in the hotel who couldn't speak english gave us our key without being able to communicate with us.
Very tired we decide to eat something before getting some rest for our journey continuing the next day.
The restaurant was fully booked for a private party and nobody told me that when I called so no restaurant for us.
And then after eating somewhere else we just wanted to sleep but it was impossible because the actual party in the restaurant was raging really loud till 3am!
I'm talking about drunk people shouting loud in the street in front of the hotel and I was already thinking of the nightmare of the drive the following day with no sleep.
The breakfast in the morning was really good and the chef Benjamin was really welcoming which was a nice touch before leaving for a long drive with no sleep.
