It's 120 kilometres south of Seoul, the capital city of South Korea.

Mother Nature's splendour is on show around Hamuk. Just 50 kilometres away, TaeanHaean National Park is an excellent place to start. Gyeryongsan National Park sits 40 kilometres away and is another popular spot for some peace and quiet.

Settle in for some thrilling soccer action at Daejeon World Cup Stadium in Daejeon, 50 kilometres away. Don't forget to show your love for home team the Daejeon Citizen FC by dressing in a few pieces of red and white!

Spend your time alternating between the steep slopes and a roasting fire at Jisan Forest Ski Resort and Yangji Pine Ski Valley. From complete newbies to the experienced, there's something to delight everyone at these snowy paradises.

Take the opportunity to visit other nearby attractions, such as Cheongyang Bowlingjang and Jangseung Park. You'll come across them 9 kilometres southeast in Cheongyang. Not ready to head back to your hotel just yet? The Korea Traditional Architecture Museum and the Jeongamsa Temple are in Hongseong, 17 kilometres to the northwest of Hamuk.

You may feel the urge to book a room in Cheongju for a while. This destination is 65 kilometres to the east and not far from the Chungbuk National University, the Heungdeok Temple Site and the Cheongju National Museum. A few other nearby attractions are the Cheongju Early Printing Museum and Jikji Pavillion.

If you're travelling via air, it's a good idea to decide a route to the terminal beforehand. From the middle of Hamuk, you'll need to journey about 65 kilometres east to Cheongju International Airport (CJJ), the closest airport.
