Great place

Other reviews are not wrong that the carpet in the Halls are stained, but the rooms are clean and spacious. It is in a nice quiet spot of the beach so you can enjoy everything about the beach without the noise. I would and am planning on staying here again. I would recommend paying extra for ocean view as the city view is not exciting at all, although it is nice to have a balcony to drink coffee on. A taxi to and from the airport is only $12-$18 depending on traffic and busses run in this area regularly. Housekeeping works hard. The rooms don't have carpet so housekeeping has to clean up every smudge on the floor. There are cosmetic blemishes, which you can expect from the age of the hotel. The complaint that there is no outlet by the bed is wrong. Pull the bed forward and there is an outlet. I enjoyed the deep soak tub. Lots of good restaurants nearby.

Our timings happened to match with the shuttle service and we were able to make full use of it. The location is convenient and the room is nice and spacious. Only issue is the pillows. They were a little too flat for us.

Excellent stay.

Four nights here. Very central if your wanting to stay close to cafes, public transport and shops. 15 mins by public bus from airport. Room was spacious but dated and clean. My only issue was the aircon which on first night did not work, reported to front desk as I had no sleep due to stuffy hot room. Filters were cleaned but I would say still not 100% we had to have it on 15c at all times and that was not even cold. Hate to stay there in summer if they can’t fix their aircon.

Great stay at the Shilla Hotel and a perfect start after a long journey to the island.
