Alternatively, you could stay in Ballina, 50 kilometres to the east of Gweesalia, where you'll find the Downhill Inn and Great National Hotel Ballina. Travel 70 kilometres south and you'll find yourself in Clifden, a regional centre with a population of 2,000.
