Book Gunge Chō hotels

There is a check in at the port, it is confusing to find the check in desk. We had nice help at the desk generally but the person there does not always speak English and will call someone to help. We reserved breakfast and were very disappointed, the sausage cold, the hash brown potato cold and undercooked, the yogurt was a very small amount. Our room was lovely and clean , the bed too soft though. We were not in the main lodge so if we had questions we had to walk from our building, there is no phone or reception other than at the restaurant. We had our luggage delivered from another hotel but not to our room. The expectation was we were to take our luggage in the rain , down a hill walking. After a discussion it was delivered but this was poor service in my opinion. We had a harbor terrace room , so disappointing to be told not to space on the terrace after 8:00 pm due to children next door, this hampered our enjoyment of using the terrace.

Very crowded place. Breakfast was average and crowded. We couldn’t get parking on the premises but got it nearby. Room was small but had table and essentials

I really enjoyed my stay at the Comfort Hotel in Takamatsu! The location itself is very easy to get to from Takamatsu Station and its very central to a lot of restaurants and activities. They had a breakfast included every morning which was awesome for us whenever we had to leave early in the morning. The staff was super helpful as well with the luggage transfer service. As for the room, very clean and it was exactly we needed. I highly recommend this stay for anyone visiting Takamatsu :)!

I really liked this hotel - the room was comfortable and was of a decent size. The breakfast was very good, and the location was excellent - a very positive experience.

Hotel incorporated into a velodrome away from the port but easy walk to catch the ferry to the islands. Lunch and dinner menu's offered are not up to Japanese standard so you need to eat at Uno port unless you want fried food. Breakfast okay but no fresh fruit. A word of warning even if you just want a drink at the restaurant after your day you need to book at reception on your return to the hotel. Also need to book shuttle if you want transfer to Uno station on any day. Bike hire available for taking on the ferry for Island tours. Rooms small so travel light as no room for larger suitcases.
