Pros: the grounds are beautiful, the location is great and close to many natural sites, and our room was large. Cons: food was pretty bad, service was generally bad, HVAC in our room didn’t work well, and the staff didn’t speak much if any English.

Sheraton Guilin Hotel is centrally located in Guilin, a 3-minute walk from Shan Lake and a 1-minute drive from Elephant Trunk Hill.
It’s a nice hotel, and the staff is great. However, with no air conditioning in the room, temperature control is nearly impossible. You are either hot with the windows closed, or cold with them open, while the traffic noise disturbs your sleep
