Sunset from Grand Isle State Park, near the southern tip of Louisiana. We didn't know you could drive 1.5 hours south of New Orleans, but you can to reach this beautiful state park. Grand Isle is mostly a summer community but it was sunny and warm and nearly empty for us in early March. The RV park was a great place to stay -- one of our favorites, right next to the beach and with nature paths nearby. We walked on the beach by day, and grilled burgers and sat by the campfire at night. When you stay at this vacation home in Grand Isle, you'll be near the beach, within a 15-minute walk of Grand Isle Beach and Rotary Park.
Place was very quaint easy to access beds were comfortable nice area downstairs to BBQ and boil shrimp. Down fall was not warned about the water that may rise all around the steps when windy. Did have issues with ants in kitchen and bathrooms from the time we first got there. But these are minor ...
