Perfect!

We stayed at the inn...it was perfect! The inn manager was so nice and very helpful! We went during off season so it was super quiet. They have a nice little back patio area that you can sit and watch the water. We saw a ton of dolphins!

Newly renovated so strong odor of paint fumes. Place is very small. Says fits six but that is an oversell I believe. Five at best and three should be children. No coffee filters! Pull out sofa is awfully uncomfortable. Needs a better one. And ceiling fan can't operate without light on so very stuffy at night. Mount microwave for more counter room. Table is way to big for the space. Shower is lame. All fixable though. Otherwise this place is very clean, cute and location is beyond beautiful. Staff are exceedingly friendly. Local area amazing.

Great little motel / ownership -- room size so/so

This was a great option in Grand Isle -- itself a pretty cool destination...there's not a ton to do there, but that's kind of the point...old school motels and restaurants and a nice, little used white sand beach on the gulf coast. Motel ownership was great -- really friendly, communicative, and available. The only knock on the this location is that the room sizes listed (sq ft) are way off -- the largest one offered is listed as almost 3,000 sq ft but it's absolutely no where near that...it'd be very cramped if your party is the 6-7 people it lists as accommodating. Overall would definitely recommend, just double check the size of the accommodations you're reserving.

Great Stay!!

We stayed in a 2 bedroom camper on Grand Isle. It was a very clean and suitable place to stay for our vacation. The beds were clean, everything was pretty spacious. We will definitely use it again in the future.

The motel rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was super friendly. Since there is a kitchenette, it would have been nice if there was coffee provided and some basic condiments, salt, pepper, sugar etc. Would definitely stay there again.

Nobody at the office, just a phone number. It was 5pm. Impossible de trouver notre chambre. Nous avons téléphoné au numero affiché. Un agent nous a indiqué ou trouver notre chambre, non sans difficulté. La chambre indiqué était déjà occupé. La suivante n était pas prête. Finalement après avoir ouvert plusieurs portes nous avons trouvé une chambre « prête. Forte odeur d humidité a l intérieur. Literie en mauvais état, cheveux sur les draps. Oreillers et matelas sans house de protection et sales. Coin cuisine avec micro ondes sale, frigo, pas de plaque de cuisson, des casseroles sales, le reste ok. Aucun rangement (étagère, tiroir….). Chambres/appartement sans luminosité. Tous les appartements/cottages sont ouverts avec les clés sur la table a l intérieur.

Stunning view, great owner.

The island is great, the location of the hotel also. There view is stunning! There are a lot of accommodations outside (pic bic table, 4 or 5 BBQ, a shower outside, a kitchen counter, you can really cook outside). In the room, It was clean but a little sticky. A full cleanup with TSP would correct that. The Owner is great! He loves the area, he provides great recommendations. We followed all his recommendations and we have great memories.

I recently stayed at the Blue Dolphin Inn, and it was a wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was inviting, and the innkeeper was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The check-in process was straightforward, although you have to drive a bit further down from the inn to reach the check-in spot, which is on the left-hand side marked by the distinctive Blue Dolphin sign. Despite this, the overall experience was fantastic, and we're already planning our next visit. We'll definitely be back to enjoy the hospitality and charm of the Blue Dolphin Inn. We want to see all the places back to its full potential there in Grand Isle. Favorite place to come as a kid.

They were friendly and easy to deal with. Everything was clean and well maintained. Beds were nice; tv in each bedroom. They made it a breeze to check in and out. I wont look any further than the Blue Dolphin.

Cute. Has 2 small bedrooms. A futon (full of stains), a table and 2 chairs. The kitchen was clean but the floors were dirty. Needed to be vacuumed and swept.

The beach access was a highlight, the bed incredibly comfortable, and the outdoor cooking setup was fun. Place was a bit small and the couch/futon somewhat uncomfortable but really not a big deal. Enjoyable and relaxing for sure!

I would (already have!) highly recommend Blue Dolphin to anybody! The location is perfect, across the street from the beach, the staff is so accommodating, and the cottages are extremely spacious.
