Built in 185, it is constructed of wood and is 45 feet tall.
Grand Island is located in Lake Superior near Munising in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The island is perfect for hiking and biking day or overnight trips. No motor vehicles allowed. We stayed in one of the camping cabins, but tent campsites are more numerous. Plan to make reservations.

This stay was a disaster. The map pin is completely wrong — the cabin is 3.5 miles from Munising, not on the water, and not even in city limits. Loved the pool/hot tub/sauna area.. wasn't too stuffy from condensation. Enjoyed the room amenities and layout. Was very nice and peaceful. Will definitely stay again.
