Although the room was clean, it is very dated with a small bathroom. The sheets popped off the mattress as soon as I get in the bed. The rugs in the halls were very worn.
The restaurant food was good.

The lodge was wonderful. Very clean and comfortable. It was close to trails and shopping and everything was well marked and informative.
It would have been nice to have a microwave in the room and more towel bars in bathroom. I’m older so I would have liked a handbar in bath.
Rooms were great, just what we needed for our stay while visiting the Grand Canyon. The tavern food as well as breakfast was delicious. Would definitely stay here again if I'm back at the Grand Canyon.
This lodge offers Old-school 1950s motel motel type lodging in an absolutely stunning setting. Facilities are well maintained. My room was very clean and comfortable, but not as spacious as modern hotels. The bathroom is a bit cramped by modern standards. But who is going to spend time in the room when do much natural beauty—including the Grand Canyon—is outside your door. The lodge’s main building offers an excellent restaurant and a coffee shop. Why stay anywhere else if you’re going to visit the Grand Canyon? I was able to get an excellent rate through Hotels.com.
The property was clean. The room was clean. The staff was nice. Food was OK however there’s no lighting around so please bring a flashlight if you’re walking no sidewalks either. Also, there was no heat in the room so I’ll bring warm pajamas. You have to turn on the heater if you want heat in the room the room was under 60 at night.
Breakfast was not included. National park and other points were convenient. Bus shuttle service was great. The bus operators were very nice and helpful.
Though at Hermits Nest the bathrooms were dirty.
