What an absolute joy to stay right at the south rim at Yavapai! It is the best experience we have ever had with a national park and just cannot say enough about the conditions of room, staff, dining room (elk meatloaf to die for!) and just a great team here! Well done and absolutely recommend for anyone who wants an amazing experience!
Accommodation and location of the lodge was excellent as were the dining options and environment. The only downside was no wifi available in the room. Wifi was available at the lodge main building however.
Dated rooms, we stayed in the west buildings. Our building and room felt like a combination of an average hotel and a college dorm. The lodge area with the tavern and outside area was very nice. Staying inside the park was awesome.
The Yavapai Lodge was a beautiful setting. It is historic property. The hotel room was clean and had a little refrigerator.
It was in the Grand Canyon national park with easy access to shuttles that take you everywhere on the rim of the Grand Canyon.
The parking was right outside the hotel room and easy to get in and out.
Since it is a historic property, it is not super modern, but the quaintness and the surroundings are amazing.
It is a part of the dark sky program, which meaning that it’s a perfect place to stargaze. I pointed out to several people the Milky Way.
Not to impressed with cafeteria food, otherwise, I's recommend!

Loved that the hotel was in the park. Great location and right nxt to the grocery store. The room was dated but clean. All the staff were wonderful….helpful and friendly. Only issue I had was the ice maker was right outside my room so I was woken up late at night and early in the morning.
Location is awesome! Inside the park and a short walk to the rim trail.

Disliked: Staff & service
Despite booking my room more than two months in advance, the hotel failed to honor my reservation upon check-in. To make matters worse, the staff was extremely rude when explaining why I couldn’t have the room I had reserved back in July.
The rooms are older so I didn't expect them to be perfect, but a couple changes could help. A sink cabinet in the bathroom would help since it is so small and had no storage. Also replacing the spotted carpet with vinyl plank flooring would be much better.
A perfect place to remain immersed in our Grand Canyon visit. Good food & drinks and ambience in the common areas. Rooms/Bathrooms are dated, but did the trick. Staff is helpful and operations are efficient.
