The property is older but has been updated. Very quiet and peaceful. It’s a very short drive to the Visitor Center and Mather Viewing Point. The breakfast in the lodge was overpriced for what we got. That was the only downfall of the property. The gentleman in the lodge gift shop was very nice and informative. He was great to talk to!

Stayed in the older Yavapai West group this time and it was cozy with a nice view of the woods. Small, very clean room at a great price with parking right outside the door. Used the self check in kiosk which was great - fast and efficient. Great overnight option for climbers or backpackers. Could use a little more bathroom counter room for a few things (minor point). TV reception not good (like last time) but wasn't there to watch TV.

Nice property within Grand Canyon national park, walkable and short drives to all view points. Good food, dining area along with good drinks at Yavapai Travern. Recommend staying here if you want to explore Grand Canyon at ease.
