Book Goose Island State Park hotels

Upon checking in, I knew this wasn’t a wise choice booking our three nights here. The young girl at the desk seemed put out that she had to put her phone down and get us checked in. She never greeted us or any type of pleasant talk. Our room was a handicap room and if any of the other rooms are like this, they all need to be gutted and remodeled. It was old and falling apart. The shower was set that the nozzle was facing the shower curtain so each time you showered, the floor flooded, literally! We had to ask for extra towels just to get the floor semi dried. The housekeeper was helpful and shared my confusion over why the shower was set up. She kept us supplied, for the remaining days left, with towels to mop up the mess. Breakfast was very basic, waffles, powered eggs and sausage links. My recommendation, go somewhere else!

Fantastic stay at Hampton Inn & Suites Rockport-Fulton. The suite was a perfect for a single traveler with some extra bags or a family with 2 toddlers. The breakfast was on-point and looking forward to our next stay. Not only that, but the front desk staff were happy and actually seem like the like interacting with guests. I'm writing this review from Holiday Inn Express & Suites Rockport - Bay View by IHG which had availability this time. DO NOT stay here, outdated rooms, no smart TV's, EVERY, SINGLE ice machine on each floor is broken and I was told at check-in the pancake/waffle maker is broken. Management obviously sucks here and does not care about the upkeep. TLTR: Stay at Hampton Inn and Suites, DO NOT stay at crapy Holiday Inn Express & Suites.
