Apart from not being able to contact the hotel- the mobile number listed never gets answered and the calls never get returned - it is clean open rooms were great beds great little worn in places

The room stunk of dirty sweat and cigarette despite a sign stating $1800 fine for smoking, sheets didn't look like they were clean, rubbish bin in cupboard hadn't been emptied, toilet seat was up when I arrived, Curtains were grey full of dirt not white.

Staff not helpful rooms below standard I know there has been heavy rain but when you get out of lift on second floor the smell of damp is shocking. But the restaurant staff is excellent

Shocking place to stay if you're on the disability spectrum. Management will ask you to check out because they 'don't want your type here'. Very hard to enjoy a stay being treated like reprobate when in fact you have a terminal impairment.

Check in to stay at the property. My flight was delayed getting into the GC and I tried to ring the property to inform. There is no way to contact them. When I arrived, I was informed that check in was between 2-8pm and I had missed my window to check in. Being in the hospitality industry the hotel would need to be flexible. Staying at other accommodation booked through Wotif I would get access via a key box and this would be communicated to me. Fortunately, the owner did allow be to check in...as a single woman (late at night) on her own it is not really nice to know you are not fully covered, even though the room was paid for.

There was no one at the reception until right at 2pm. The Lady that was working was super lovely and helpful but totally overworked. She had to keep going to help in the kitchen. The rooms were so far from the lifts and reception and the verandahs were filthy. The room was clean but aged. The parking lot was filthy. The receptionist did let us view the rooms to see if we liked it. Very strange set up....I guess some of the rooms are privately owned so the ones in the hotel were on the out regions of the hotel and you had to go up and down stairs and they opened onto an outdoor corridor that was filthy. I would not stay there again. It was quite an eerie feeling going to a room that was so far from other people. I did not feel safe but the receptionist did find me a room that was near the lift but I had to wait until 5pm for it to be cleaned as there was only one cleaner in the whole place. The staff worked hard but there is obviously a management issue as they were run ragged.

The hotel was very convenient to where we needed to go. It was a little dated, but the rooms were clean and comfortable. The view and walks around the marina were great. Overall a good place for a quick stopover

STAY WELL CLEAR

Booked during the cyclone as we had no elec. Then elec came on 2 days earlier than expected so tried to phone and cancel. They didn’t answer ph. Contacted Hotel.com to cancel. They said I had to contact hotel. Rang hotel 6 times. Each time either voicemail saying Mailbox Full, or simply no reply. On day of check-in they rang me at 6pm to see where we were. I said I tried to cancel for 2 days, constant phoning. No answer. They said they’d sort it out and call me back. No one ever called. DO NOT EVER BOOK THIS HOTEL.
