He photos are misleading - one feels they are renting a beautiful retreat. It isn’t. The cottage is run down, with a large burn on the dining room table, holes in the sitting room ottoman, and a worn out couch that we all found incredibly uncomfortable. Lack of comfortable seating was the worst part of the stay - either one sits on the worn out couch, or the hard dining room table chairs. The interior was filled with flies - they keep landing on our heads and food. The owner’s acknowledged the flies were an issue, but she said she can’t fix the issue as she doesn’t know where they are coming in from. When we told the owner the toaster didn’t work, she assured me that it did. She said the problem was that the plug was broken, which supplied the electricity to the toaster. (Sorry for criticizing the toaster!) Guest bathroom towels are dishtowels. Getting to the dock is perilous. It’s accessed down a long exterior staircase. The railway ties that once made up the stairs have lifted and twisted over time to be become dozens of hazardous, raised tripping hazards. Getting down to the dock is not for the faint of heart. Once at the dock, access to the dock is gained by climbing over the first dock section that is covered in logs and branches, and has been distorted to a 45 degree angle, making climbing over it treacherous to say the least. There are a series of yurts and a trailer overlooking the property.

Room was nice. Comfortable bed. Large bathroom. Fridge had a freezer. The breakfast had sausages and bacon.

Everything good exceptional except the fact that at 1.30am when i wanted to check i was told i havent paid whilst it was a prepaid reservation. I was given absurd rates there and then after a bundle of arguments the receptionist brought out a paper with a lady's name on top which i had to point out. It was someone elses booking that he was fetching he didnt read my name properly and mistook it for some other lady's name who had an unpaid booking. Disrespecting and disappointing.

The group had a fantastic stay. The pool and the pool table were the main attraction. The property was very spacious and clean. Everyone had so much fun. Leanne is a wonderful host.

There were eight of us staying at the property. The furniture is very sparse, old, stained, and or broken. There is very little glassware and cutlery. On my first evening there, I had to eat my steak dinner with a spoon. There were only wine glasses and coffee cups, no other kind of glassware. Only 4 outside chairs, no patio table, except for a small, fold-up table. The hot tub had not been cleaned in a long time, so we could not use it. This is our 8 year of renting VRBOs all over BC and Alberta, and it was the worst experience to date. Especially for the money they charge, I would expect more.
