The hotel was clean and tidy, staff were friendly and helpful. The comfort level for the bed was fair; the usual hard, stiff flat surface which had a padded topper on but this didn’t do much to improve things. I never understand why hotel beds have to be so stiff! The floorboards in the rooms and corridors creaked a lot, meaning one could hear people moving around the hotel. During the night there was some kind of ventilation plant creating a deep rumbling noise which kept me awake for a fair portion of the night. I turned off the aircon but this made no difference. Breakfast was ok, the scrambled eggs lacked any flavour. I do like the self-help waffle iron this chain offers, I always enjoy the waffles. As a convenience for catching a flight the next morning, the hotel was perfect. As a hotel to get some good rest before a flight, I felt it didn’t deliver.
