With only 1 hotel within 10 kilometres of Garzon's centre, you'll have to move faster than a senior at a buffet table if you want to stay nearby!

In terms of a central location, you won't do better than Mosaico. It's a brilliant place to stay after touring your way through downtown Garzon.

You may like to have a look at some other places to stay, such as the Playa Vik Jose Ignacio or the La Viuda De Jose Ignacio. The first can be found 25 kilometres from the central areas, and the second is 20 kilometres away. Alternatively, travel 20 kilometres from central Garzon to the Estancia Vik Jose Ignacio.

It's well known that Aussies just love to have a good time, so consider kicking back a little longer and going to the Jose Ignacio Beach and Jose Ignacio Lighthouse in Jose Ignacio, 20 kilometres to the south of Garzon. If you're keen to stay in Jose Ignacio, look into the rates at the CDL - containers design loft and White Sands. 35 kilometres to the southwest of Garzon you'll find Balneario Buenos Aires, which is home to the Lomas de San Vicente and Las Olas Resort. If you stay in Balneario Buenos Aires, set aside a little time to check out Pablo Atchugarry Foundation and Bikini Beach.

Travel 50 kilometres southwest and you'll come across Punta del Este, a regional centre with a population of 7,000. While you're checking out this neck of the woods, you'll be able to get your tourist on at the Ralli Museum, Punta Shopping Mall and Brava Beach. The Conrad Punta del Este Casino and the Casino Nogaro are a couple more attractions which are sure to offer up some photo ops. After sleeping upright all night, a warm cosy bed at the Chihuahua Resort - Nude Beach Resort will feel heavenly! If that doesn't quite cut it, have a squiz at the Punta del Este Arenas Hotel & Resort.
