If you don't mind crashing 16 kilometres away from the heart of the town, consider the suburb of Tortoli. This area has 13 available hotels, such as the Arbatax Park Resort Cottage and La Bitta.

After more options? The Lanthia Resort is positioned 20 kilometres from central Gairo, and the Aparthotel Domus De Janas Sul Mare is 15 kilometres away. Alternatively, try your hand at one or two popular regional pursuits like mountain biking and rock climbing.

High heels or sandals? However you roll, you're sure to enjoy a trip to Cardedu, 15 kilometres away. With Torre di Bari Beach and Torre di Bari to check out, you're not gonna be short on things to do.
