Luray is a relaxing place meant for enjoying the beauty of the Blue Ridge mountains, the Shenandoah Valley, and a slower pace. There is adventure in fishing, rafting, hiking, and biking. There are no Gallerias or Malls. It is lovely and refreshing. The Mimslyn is perfect. The breakfast in the Circa 31 room is exceptional. The dinner and a drink in the Speakeasy is well done and much appreciated after a day exploring the area. We spent time fishing the South Fork Shenandoah and then came “home” to our base at the Mimslyn. Core memories.

Everything was amazing! We actually left another hotel because it was dirty and didn’t feel safe. We found this place randomly during our drive and couldn’t have been happier. The room was spotless, the staff was friendly, and we had a great night’s sleep.

We visited the Salamander Resort and Spa this spring for a quick trip. The hotel was beautiful and the staff was wonderful. Thank you for a great trip!

The space was cozy and nice. The view of the river was absolutely breathtaking from the back porch! Quiet and relaxing.
