Sweet little property in a very quiet location with rural views and a small private garden. Very comprehensive amenities provided and good communication with the friendly host Florence. Close to all places of interest nearby and lovely coastline.

Improvements needed.

A hotel with many limitations. I stayed here for a business trip for two nights that coincided with a national holiday and storm Ciaran. Not a great combination to be away for work. The check in was quick and efficient and was informed the restaurant would be closed the next night (I presumed for the holiday). I booked dinner to that night as advised booking recommended. Restaurant had me and one other couple and very limited menu. But food was good. Breakfast however was very disappointing, a few pastries and cheese/ham and eggs. No staff member checked up on breakfast situation either morning during the time I was eating. However, the biggest concern I had was that an alert was issued by the local government regarding the storm, there was no effort by the hotel staff to reassure guests and when asked directly for guidance the response was not helpful in any way. As a non speaking French visitor this made me feel very isolated and at risk and felt I needed to check out of the hotel and leave despite an official ban on travel due to storm damage. As a guest I did not feel welcome at all.

Direct on the beach in Fouesnant Beg-Meil - unique location

We loved everything about the location of this property. We are 6 friends who go away each year for a week. We kayak and swim and the property was perfect for this. Although we stayed in October the first half of the week was glorious, the second half was not so good and this showed up a couple of things that could be improved. We struggled to dry towels and clothes as no heated rails. 6 people sharing one shower and one bath was difficult at times, when we had all been kayaking and needed a hot shower to warm up after we had to wait in turns. The shower head over the bath didn’t have a hook you had to hold it which wasn’t the easiest. The outdoor shower was useful but difficult to keep feet clean between the shower and the house as you had to walk across the garden. This property is great in the warmer weather for outdoor living. It would be problematic in a wet week if there was 6-8 of you trying to be inside. Would definitely come back in the summer.
