It's 410 kilometres to the southwest of Canberra, the country's capital.

What could be more refreshing than listening to the sounds of the ocean next to the water? Organise an outing to Brighton Beach or St. Kilda Beach for a sublime day out.

The splendour of Mother Nature can be witnessed in multiple places around Flowerdale. Just 13 kilometres away, Strath Creek Falls is an excellent place to start. Mount Disappointment sits 20 kilometres away and is another pleasing spot for some peace and quiet.

If you can't imagine a holiday that doesn't involve sports, see what events are on at The Village Green Cricket Ground. It's likely something will be happening while you're in town. You'll find the venue 11 kilometres away in Murrindindi Shire.

Skiers and snowboarders enjoy staying in Flowerdale, as it offers easy access to Mount Buller Peak and Lake Mountain Alpine Resort. Just don't forget to layer up! These snow-capped playgrounds can get icy indeed.
