If you're here in body but mentally you're living it up in Floresta, it's time to take that break. Floresta's downtown area is pretty short on accommodation, but you can book a stay in one of the 3 hotels within 10 kilometres of the action.

A big day of exploring can really drain your energy. Hit the hay at Agri Hotel da Marianna and Agriturismo il noceto, two of the most central options you'll find.

Patti is a convenient neighbourhood to base yourself if you don't mind travelling 20 kilometres to reach downtown Floresta. It boasts 7 hotel options, including the Villaggio Simenzaru and Villa Rica.

You may also like to try the VOI Baia di Tindari Resort, which is 25 kilometres away. Or you might like the Shalai Resort, just a distance of 25 kilometres from Floresta. If those options don't jump out at you, you might prefer the Hotel Avalon Sikanì or the Il Gattopardo Sea Palace Hotel.

Want more options? Hole up like a rockstar in Randazzo (just try not to wreck the joint). Sitting 10 kilometres away and home to the Casa Della Musica E Della Liuteria Medievale and San Giorgio Monastery, it's sure to be a trip to remember! If you want to stay in Randazzo, consider the Hotel Scrivano and Ai Tre Parchi Bed and Bike. Or, you could consider staying in Tortorici, 11 kilometres to the northwest of Floresta, where you'll find the Casali di Margello and Al Palmento B&B. Catafurco Waterfall and Nebrodi Adventure Park are among the more popular points of interest to experience while in Tortorici.

Make your way 35 kilometres east and you'll be in Taormina, a regional centre with a population of 6,000. While you're in this neck of the woods, hang your camera 'round your neck and get your tourist on at Lido Mazzaro, Spisone Beach and Greek Theatre. The Taormina Cable Car and the Parco Duca di Cesaro are a few more which are sure to offer up some envy-inducing photo ops. You've got a great selection of hotels and accommodations in Taormina, with the Belmond Grand Hotel Timeo and Belmond Villa Sant'Andrea coming in at the top of the list.

After being squashed in a cabin seat for hours, a nice comfy bed at the Romano Palace Luxury Hotel will be bliss! If that doesn't quite cut it, have a squiz at the NH Catania Parco Degli Aragonesi. Both are super close to Fontanarossa Airport, which is 55 kilometres from Floresta's centre.
