The room was not like it was pictured in the least. The bedding was itchy and of poor quality. The bidet (has spots of urine and dark brown spots) and shower were not clean, the fridge was not in service (something another customer complained about as well). We got one towel per person, which was not sufficient for our body and hair. I will say the soap was good and smelled nice. The breakfast was varied and satisfactory. Fine for a one night but never someplace I’d return.

Great value for money.

Through no fault of the Hotel Google Maps sent me to the wrong location. Once I did locate it the receptionist was very helpful and pleasant, as were all the staff I encountered behind the desk. Hotel Basilea is in a great location to explore many of Florences attractions. It was very reasonably priced and there was a fridge in the room which I found was not usually available at other places with similar tariffs. I would happily stay there again.

Great option. The hotel is fine, personnel very pleasant, location is fine, the breakfast was quite awesome considering Italian breakfast options at other hotels. Overall, highly recommended.

This hotel needs a renovation, it is very old. If you are driving parking is very expensive not what it mentioned in Hotels.com. We had two rooms and in both rooms we found bed bugs, my brother in law had bites all over him. Will definitely not come back.

This hotel is located 5 minutes walk from the train station and the Duomo of Florence. The owner, Martha, gave us personalized attention and gave us a bottle of wine to celebrate our daughter's birthday. The rooms were very clean and the breakfast very tasty and plentiful. I recommend this hotel to all those who want to spend a few vacations in Floencia.

Convenient location right in the heart of the city. Walking distance to all attractions. Very good breakfast and very friendly staff. The rooms are clean but One of the rooms we stayed had a bad smell. The other room smelled fine. The street right outside is the hotel has several huge trash cans which make the street dirty and smelly. So my opinion is split about this hotel. If you care about cleanliness, you may want to spend more money on a more expensive hotel or sacrifice the convenience.

Excellent lacation, facility, and breakfast, but

excellent location, nice spacious room and bath. good breakfast. the only negative was the unexpected “tax” of 4 euros per person per day upon leaving, to be paid in cash only.
