Room was very clean, well appointed, comfortable. Food was excellent. House is converted private home, but the furnishings are all very appropriate to what would have been there - very well done. The owners (French/Moroccon) were wonderful - spoke English extremely well, were available every day, and bent over backwards to write down recommendations, show us the locations on a amp, etc., etc. Like any accommodations in the medinas, you need to arrange to have someone from the hotel/riad meet you to help with luggage.

Beautiful, and beautifully decorated riad. The rooms are spacious and special. Indoor / outdoor rooftop space affords spectacular views in a luxurious setting. Fava bean & split pea soup a standout among excellent breakfast options. Bravo!

Our stay at Riad Le Calife was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The service was truly exceptional — every member of the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for. They were incredibly helpful, friendly, and always ready with a warm smile or great advice about exploring Fez. The food was outstanding — beautifully prepared, full of flavor, and served with care in a stunning setting. Breakfasts were a real highlight each morning! The property itself is breathtaking — a beautifully restored riad that perfectly blends traditional Moroccan charm with modern comfort. Every corner feels elegant and peaceful, from the rooftop terrace to the courtyard and the rooms themselves. Riad Le Calife is a true gem in Fez. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and can’t wait to return. Highly recommended to anyone visiting this magical city!

This is an amazing property. It is managed to perfection. The owner is helpful, attentive, and the staff are humble, friendly and caring. It is in an ideal setting. All-around incredible

Everything was incredible! The Riad itself was beautiful - the rooms, the reception, the courtyard, all of it. The employees are lovely, and the owner Alex was incredibly kind. We had a great conversation with him about the Riads history, and Morocco itself, and appreciated the extra effort that we could tell he puts in for his guests. The location itself is great as well. You owe it to yourself to have the welcome dinner; Chef Fatima is incredible. In our 12 days in Morocco, the two dinners that we had at the restaurant were our favorite meals. Not only is the food great, but the views of Fes from the restaurant are incredible as well.

We loved this place! It looks just amazing and our room felt like our fantasy version of a bedroom in Morocco. The breakfast was delicious and the roof deck was lovely, as were the other common areas, all magically appointed. We spent several nights at the Riad Le Calife and were very impressed with the facility, service and hospitality. The food was excellent and the attention to our requirements far exceeded expectations. They are true ambassadors to FEZ and want their clients to have a great experience. We would recommend their Riad as a good selection to relax while enjoying the sites and experiences within Fez and area.

This is a beautifully renovated old riad in the Fes medina. The staff and management are wonderful and made us feel very cared for. We received great advice on how to optimize our time in the medina and restaurant options outside of the riad. Riad Le Calife's food is also excellent. The rooms are very comfortable as are the common areas such as the courtyard and dining rooms. Its location is very good as well with quick access to car-accessible streets and cabs. We highly recommend a stay at Riad Le Calife

Loved it!

Beautiful riad, tucked away in a side street. Slightly steep walk but fairly short from Cinema Amal (5 minutes). Very tastefully done, great attention to detail. Friendly staff, helpful with recommendations for places to visit and where to eat. Fabulous views from rooftop, enjoyed evening sitting out. Would highly recommend, great value for money. Would love to return one day. Only feedback would be re breakfast. More choice needed eg with fruits and types of omelette and also bakery selection. A selection to self-serve would work well in the lovely rooftop restaurant.

It seems all the Riad‘s in Morocco are difficult to find and you cannot get dropped off at the door. So for the first time you need someone to show you the way. After that, it’s a piece of cake. This place was no exception in that I needed help finding it But for two dollars they helped me and also carried the luggage.

Riad le Calife is a great place to stay. The owners/staff will do EVERYTHING possible they can to maximize your fes experience! The property including the rooms are renovated in stunning archetypical moroccan decor. Those prople with any mobility issue should request a room on a lower floor.

Wonderful Riad for a stay in Fes

Riad Calife is a wonderful little hotel in the old part of Fes. The property and rooms are beautifully decorated with a blend of Moorish and French architecture. The rooftop terrace and restaurant area offers a great view of the oldest part of the city. The staff is very friendly and extremely helpful. Highly recommended!

A hidden gem

I cannot recommend Raid Le Calife enough. The best place I have stayed in for years. If you want to experience Fez and Morocco, then this is the place for you. A great location and wonderful rooms and facilities. The owners, Yasmine and Alex and their excellent team, were always there to help and make our stay memorable. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

A wonderful stay in a stunning hotel

This is an absolute gem of a hotel! We received the warmest possible hospitality from the owners (Alex and Jasmine). They made us feel so welcome and showed so much pride in Fez and Morocco. Our room was absolutely luxurious and a real treat. All of the staff at the hotel were warm, welcoming, and so helpful, whether with dinner recommendations or sights to see. We are veteran travellers that spend up to 60 nights per year in hotels, but the Riad Le Calife stands out. I cannot say enough good things about it. We will definitely be back.

Lost in Fed

This place is beautiful. However, like all Riads I have stayed in there is no elevator. The Riad was not accessible by car and if you wish to venture out, you will need a guide. We decided to go nowhere to prevent the panic and anxiety of being lost in a foreign country with no language skills.

Simply put, we have never felt more welcome in anywhere we have ever stayed. Yasmine and Alex were incredible hosts, and have a beautiful and traditional Riad, which is excellently decorated. Yasmine and Alex go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and safe in the city, and options to explore the local area. Delicious food at the riad (some of the best we ate in Morocco) and provided great suggestions for other places to eat. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Fes.
