St, Regis New Capital Cairo is one of the most beautiful and relaxing hotels we stayed at as a family. I was there two years ago and we decided to come back as a family this year. The hotel is very clean, spacious, and well maintained. The staff is superior, they are ready to help and answer questions/needs in no time. Special thanks to Rougina Makram, the head of the reception staff and her dedicated and professional team. She was very helpful accommodating our request for the rooms that suites our need as a family. The rooms are very spacious and lovely with lots of amenities. Beds are very comfortable. Washrooms are spacious and clean. We enjoyed both the outdoor and indoor swimming pools. The gym is amazing. Open buffet breakfast was beyond excellent with variety of plentiful food options. I think it is one of the best in the tens of Marriot group hotels that I have stayed at globally. Dinner at the Italian restaurant was excellent. I would give St. Regis hotel 10 out of 10 as an amazing hotel, its superior staff and excellent service. They are the best in professional and high quality hospitality, Again, one of the best globally, (we travel to over 30 countries globally, and we can't wait to come back to St. Regis and to Egypt.

Staff were so welcoming and the food was amazing, however the rooms and facilities condition was so poor and lacking a lot of maintenance which costed us time and hassle.

Where to start here, the hotel itself on the face of it looks amazing, a grand reception hall, big bedrooms and swimming pools etc but that’s the facade. It’s in the middle of a nowhere desert , has limited restaurant service, poor food, no alcohol ‘allowed’ and unprofessional, poorly trained staff. The heightened security everywhere makes you anxious rather than reassured and unless you have a hire car there’s no escape as there is no public transport at all. Stay here is you like staying in a remote isolated glamorous prison. My room card was disabled after one night because ‘I hadn’t paid yet’ and on check out I was unable to obtain my invoice for ten minutes until ‘my room was checked’! It’s the height of everything that a good hotel should not be. Anyone saying that it’s wonderful has either never travelled or is completely deluded.

Room was carpeted which attracted dust. Room stank of cigarettes. I requested a double bed, but was given a room with THREE single beds! Restaurant was full of flies, so could not eat there, as hygiene was poor, as I saw waiter checking temperature of cooked food with his bare hands. Cooked food was cold. I could not wait to leave.
