First visit found staff very helpful and being disabled nothing was a problem for them.always very pleasant and smiling would definitely stay again

Coming from Australia a castle is a story book locale. To walk on Genuine flagstones was a real treat. The North is much more hospitable than London. I will be back.

Great time. Enjoyed a meal in the Rib room. Spa facilities were super and definitely great getting us ready for a wedding, also dealing with the consequences from the wedding.

The hotel building looked fab in the photo's. Arriving there it was even better. A beautiful old building linked to a new extension was amazing. Freindly and helpfully staff. Cant wait to go back

The perfect hotel! Room 229, more like an apartment than hotel room. All spotless, and extremely helpful staff. Breakfast was usual buffet style woth plenty of other options if needed. Local for everything that was needed myself as well.

I forgot what they call it when there’s a gem within a gem; I think the term is inclusion. In any case Durham itself as a gem, and this hotel feels like the best of the charming character of Durham distilled into a building that’s at once historical, and yet completely full of modern convenience.
