We booked through Expedia, I had emailed and confirmed that upon arrival I could pay cash for the stay, 2 days before our departure to the hotel I got an email stating it was cancelled because my debit card had expired. I called Expedia who said it had not but then called the hotel and they confirmed it had been cancelled, I immediately booked again using Expedia at an increased cost. When I goto the desk I explained to the gentleman ( who was very helpful and understanding) and showed the emails but he said the management had no records of our first booking. The room was a very good size and the beds were good although alittle run down and the bathroom had damage. The breakfast was ok they had the most crispy bacon ever seen, the sausages were different and lots of cold meats and cereal along with coffee machines. While there we had talked to other guests who had been charged extra for tax, the car park is 17.50 per day extra
