The room was clean. Staff were very helpful and accommodating. The breakfast was very good with much selection including fruit. The breakfast staff were eager to please. The onsite restaurant was expensive but the food was superb. It offers the ability to choose type end size of meat and again the staff were amazing. The rooms were small and box like with minimal amenities. The decor was very unique and the hotel has an interesting history. It was noisy 3 of the 4 nights we stayed at hotel in middle of night when guests were returning to accommodation. If you are a light sleeper or you are looking for a high end hotel, you may want to choose a different accommodation.

If you’re after 5 star, then GA Palace does not disappoint, the staff were very attentive and welcoming and their service was outstanding. We had a fabulous 4 night there and highly recommend . Location is great, food was excellent, breakfast choice was the best we have ever had with buffet and à la carte both included at the same time. The front desk were always there to assist, Jordan and Riui were attentive on the door and in assistance with luggage and to rooms. The staff in the restaurant were very welcoming and attentive with coffee orders and the à la carte ordering. The pool area and garden were relaxing, the spa amenities were lovely. An outstanding stay in Porto. Thank you GA Palace for your fabulous hospitality and service.

The breakfast brunch does include a variety of items. It does have protein as well as sweets, carbs, and yogurt and fresh fruits. They give you a an opportunity to skip cleaning the bedroom for a five EURO voucher toward food which I thought was a great incentive. That way, instead of paying €16 for the buffet you pay only 11. The gym was adequate - that’s important to us. The location is very convenient if you don’t mind a little walking.

Fabulous hotel with a real attention to detail. Very comfortable room and bathroom which were large and spotlessly clean. Staff were superb and the hotel shuttle is a real bonus. We loved it.
