We loved everything about this sweet place. The yard and garden is so serene and peaceful. And the house is as cute as it could be. The location worked well for side trips to Abiquiú, the local wineries were fun visits, and all of the locals were friendly and warm. Highly recommend.

The property is amazing. So many plants and trees to attract birds and butterflies. The river literally is right in the backyard. Very beautiful. The house and kitchen are roomy and well appointed. Check in simple. The owners are friendly and responsive. Would definitely love to return.

Great house on the river!

The backyard was amazing and made the stay here worth it just by itself! Lots of seating right along the river and a picnic table. The flowers and grass were well maintained. The inside of the house had everything we needed for our 2-day stay. The only thing I’ll say is there is no cell service there but they did have WiFi that worked great. Overall we would definitely recommend!

This property has a ton of potential. The backyard was a bit overgrown and there were bugs all over one of the outdoor chairs, but there is a picnic table out there, which we made good use of while my son-in-law was fishing. Note that there is not a washer and dryer, so bring enough clothes for your entire stay unless you want to spend your time going to a laundromat. A Keurig machine would be a great addition! Bring your ground coffee.None of that was a game changer. We still had a great time and really enjoyed the sunroom, the river and the views!

Property was just as described. Clean and well stocked. River in back yard is great and so peaceful. Only complaint is that there is futon beds which is great but no extra blankets at least we couldnt find any would be nice to include some. They do warn about a sensitive well system which is great but sensitive does mean sensitive we got a short shower and a small load of dishes and we were out of water for a bit. There is separate drinking water but just keep that in mind if long showers are a must. Plenty of heaters to keep house warm in the cold winter. We will stay again when in the area, really loved access to the river.

River front oasis

Fully stocked home with kitchen essentials for cooking or grilling. Cabinet full of board games, updated cooling units throughout the home. My teenager fly fishing from the back yard while my husband grills are memories unmatched. We always visit Pilar for fishing, Velarde for roadside fruit stands, wineries, gas museum, Taos, the gorge, and so much more. It’s an understated residence that is rustic and water conservation awareness lends to a greater experience.

Cozy home, beautiful yard!

The home was clean, cozy and comfortable. Our 4 year old especially loved the sunroom! The backyard was the huge selling point for us and was even more beautiful in person. Lovely plants and trees and direct access to the river. We spent most of our weekend back there! Perfect place for a relaxing, quiet getaway.

Great Location and Fabulous Grounds

This cozy house with fabulous grounds is nestled against the Rio Grande River. We found ourselves spending many hours each day sitting at the river enjoying the large shade trees. This restful spot was well appointed for a group of family or friends and in proximity to both Taos or Santa Fe. The owners were great hosts and communicated well with us. This will be a return location for future travel to the area.

Beautiful location in Northern New Mexico on the banks of the Rio Grande. The interior was comfortable and functional. Adjusting temperatures and getting a comfortable air flow was sometimes challenging. The place would benefit from more screened windows to reduce reliance on window AC. Condition of nearby properties reflects Northern New Mexico funkiness.

Riverfront oasis

This well maintained riverfront property is meant to be enjoyed. Our multiple night stay had our family sad to leave! With easy highway access to the property, the experience is transformed in the backyard with private river access underneath the cottonwoods with lush grass at your feet. A fully stocked comfortable home where we cooked, played games, fished, watched movies, etc. The home is conveniently located near a large farmers fruit stand, historic state site of Los Luceros, art studios, national parks, wineries, and one amazing museum across the street! We hope to return again.

Rio Grande Dream Vacation!

This property was a paradise on the river! Truly relaxing! It has lots of space to enjoy the outdoors as well as a bbqing patio that is covered. This has a big kitchen and a super comfortable living space. The beds were also perfect! The hosts were wonderful too!! We would definitely come back and stay longer! Restful Retreat by the River

Our family of 6 booked this location on the way home from a 9 day road trip because we ended our trip with rafting down the rapids of the Rio Grande. This was the perfect location, only 5 minutes from New Mexico River Adventures. We very much enjoyed this spacious home right on the Rio Grande. The beds were super comfortable, the kitchen was stocked with all we needed. There is also a grill for use in the backyard. The is grocery store is 7 minutes away. There is plenty of seating for eating together - outside on the back porch or by the river, or inside in the dining room or the sunroom. And, the serenity of the backyard is unmatched! We enjoyed a lot of time playing games and hanging out with our family in the backyard while listing to the sounds of the river. If you’re looking for a place to relax and be refreshed, you won’t be disappointed with this retreat by the river!
