Electric City is a destination with heaps of cool stories to tell. If you reckon your life's been a bit humdrum lately, a trip here is the perfect answer!

It lies 3,500 kilometres to the west of the country's capital, Washington.

We all know that spending time outdoors makes you feel happier and healthier. With that in mind, why don't you make your way 19 kilometres out of Electric City to Grand Coulee Dam? Sun Lakes State Park, just 30 kilometres away, is one more recommended option.

Jump on the chairlift at Badger Mountain Snow Ski Resort, delight in the luscious landscape and then carve your way back to base. For even more icy thrills and spills, check out the runs at Loup Loup Ski Bowl.

Take the opportunity to head to other close-by attractions, such as the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation Museum and Crown Point State Park. These are located 20 kilometres northeast in Coulee Dam. Not ready to head back to your hotel just yet? Dry Falls Interpretive Center and Dry Falls are in Coulee City, 25 kilometres to the southwest of Electric City.

Do a little shopping and visit some attractions in Manson. This destination is 75 kilometres to the west and not too far from the Mill Bay Casino, Fromaggio Artisan Cheese Shoppe and the C.R. Sandidge Winery. That being said, don't miss the Wapato Point Cellars and the Hard Row to Hoe Vineyards either.

Keen for something a bit more active? For a lively and memorable adventure through the region's landscapes, try out some rock climbing or hiking.
