The overall feel of the hotel didn’t meet my expectations given the name. Broken glass door and no security present at main entrance. Only one person (quite lovely and accommodating) managing reception.
My door to the room didn’t lock from the inside which for safety I didn’t appreciate. Unfortunately the only aspect I liked was the shower pressure. Bathroom was clean but I didn’t like paying £25 upfront in case I do anything to the room. It is a bit of a scam to be honest. You pay £25 at the desk and if you refuse they will not let you stay there. I got my £25 back but I can imagine this isn’t the case for each individual. Paint work is quite shoddy and didn’t look very inviting. One of the three towels provided had a stain on it which I also didn’t appreciate.
The room itself had dirty walls, the chair provided had dirt on it and the table still had some crumbs from the previous person staying over. As I was tired from work it was okay. Bed was comfy though.
I wouldn’t choose to stay here again. Would do so if there wasn’t anything else available elsewhere.
