Appalling, refused me entry, with my service Dog

I have a service Dog as I’m blind registered, I also put all the details in when I made the booking via hotel.com, I’d use the filters too, won’t be using hotel.com again and certainly would never recommend to stay at peas and pebbles in Eastbourne, all they wanted was my online check-in and card info??? When I’d already paid the bill and they don’t offer any room service??? So I rang the hotel directly I explained who I was and that I had a service Dog, all that was said to me on the phone in very poor English was, no pets allowed no pets allowed no pets allowed, do not come here as no pets allowed? I attempted many times to explain my dog is not a pet it is a working dog because I am blind and I was just met with the same response no pets allowed no pets allowed,???

We got to the hotel at 10.20, and no receptionist, because theyve closed. We waited for almoat an hour only to be told we have to additional £10 for a late check in (at 10pm). Most ridiculous things ever. No air condion.or.fan in.a hot weather of 25 degree.

Avoid this one !!

Had to change rooms as soon as I checked in as there were hairs and dirt in the bed. The second room was a little better but still poorly cleaned. Don’t look under the bed !!

Bargain for an overnight stay

Perfect for a stop over before catching the ferry in Newhaven. With Hotels.com we only paid £26.19 for a double room. Bargain! Round the corner from a great bar, the Bohemian with an excellent DJ set and good vibes. Would stay again, very convenient location and near the sea front. Ample street parking and free after 6pm, can always get a permit from the hotel. Quick easy check on. Room was small but didn’t expect luxury, hot shower but not a ‘power’ shower. Pleasant staff at check in.

The room carpet was filthy. The wardrobe door had piece falling off. Bathroom sliding door off runners and could not be closed. Desk and chair very shabby. Would not recommend.

Terrible environment, not worth it!

The place was not tidy, smells awful right from the entrance. Then there was so much fuss about identification and deposit policy which was not worth it looking at the state of the place. It was late and I was so tired so I thought I would manage it since it was just one night, only for me to be kept awake all night by this terrible noise from upstairs. I literally kept awake all night, I almost developed headache. I am going to apply for a refund, it was not worth it.

Great if it was in India

Firstly, I used your website to book a hotel with parking, this hotel has no parking, just go and find yourself a space on the street (If you can). They think they are running a hotel in India. Young lad was very helpful but the place is a dump. Room was better than the hotel in appearance, ignoring the used cotton bud on the floor, the crumbs on the tea tray, the lack of a teaspoon...I wouldn't book this place if I knew the facts.

I didn’t like anything about this place it’s filthy and messy my room was disgusting it had pigeon poop inside the room where the window had been left open it hadn’t been cleaned and the shower was covered in brown grime and the toilet was even worse. My door lock didn’t work either so I felt unsafe and vulnerable in the room. Horrendous experience from start to finish. I was told there were no other rooms available so offered a refund ( haven’t had that ) dreadful place I will never return. Absolute waste of money I couldn’t shower it was too dirty didn’t use the kettle that was nasty too so i left at 7.30am as I was desperate to get out of the place.

Paid £125 for the night, bed sheets appalling and lots of stains, room stunk with lots of flys until I demanded that they change the sheets and clean the room properly them when it came to have a shower there was no water! reported it to staff they had a look and said they would be back to fix it in five minutes and never returned. Avoid!!!!!

Whole property very dated, hallways not seen an hoover in who knows how long. No running water in our room so was given key to another room to shower etc, which was full of mould. Positive was the guy in reception who was very polite and did what he could, but the property itself is not good,

The pictures are obviously of 1 room that hasn't been used by the latest bunch of guests, the hotel has been trashed by recent guests and if you speak to the locals its been used as a migrant drop in hotel, we had 3 rooms booked and they were the worst my lads have stayed in, to the point they refused to stay beyond the 1st night of 4 nights booked, dirty rooms/toilets/carpets/communal areas. smashed windows all over. see pictures..... and avoid until refurbished

The overall feel of the hotel didn’t meet my expectations given the name. Broken glass door and no security present at main entrance. Only one person (quite lovely and accommodating) managing reception. My door to the room didn’t lock from the inside which for safety I didn’t appreciate. Unfortunately the only aspect I liked was the shower pressure. Bathroom was clean but I didn’t like paying £25 upfront in case I do anything to the room. It is a bit of a scam to be honest. You pay £25 at the desk and if you refuse they will not let you stay there. I got my £25 back but I can imagine this isn’t the case for each individual. Paint work is quite shoddy and didn’t look very inviting. One of the three towels provided had a stain on it which I also didn’t appreciate. The room itself had dirty walls, the chair provided had dirt on it and the table still had some crumbs from the previous person staying over. As I was tired from work it was okay. Bed was comfy though. I wouldn’t choose to stay here again. Would do so if there wasn’t anything else available elsewhere.
