Great location but would not go back

Great location, nice lobby and common areas but rooms are very small and overly minimalistic. For example, our room for two people had only two hangers for clothes and one hook for a single towel. However, what most put us off is that they automatically switch off the air conditioning in the room. There is a notice saying this occurs at 11 pm and 7 am, which is already annoying if you want to go to bed before 11 pm, but our actual experience is that the AC turned off every couple hours during the night. I had to get up multiple times to turn it back on because it became too hot. I feel this is completely unacceptable for the price and just based on this I would not go back. Another thing I found disappointing is that if you're hoping for an early check-in (for instance, after a red-eye flight), they will charge you by the hour for any extra time in the room, even if it is already ready. A cheap and opportunistic policy in my opinion.

Nice retro hotel, room clean and smelled nice - so issues there. Bed is 7 by 7 ft, taking up a good chunk of the room, so pack light as there is much space with luggage. Shower poorly designed water spills from the shower, so place towels one the edge of the shower. TV speakers were set up in the bathroom. Have 2 outlets types, one typical european and one ireland/uk power outlet. Breakfast is fabulous 👌. Staff super nice and helpful. Close to many of the starting point for trips.

King beds were comfortable... cozy is appropriate summary. Staff was next level accommodating. They were patient with so many guests.... lots of reasonable options to check in early or leave late. Would highly recommend.

had a fantastic stay at the Marlin Hotel Stephens Green! The location is unbeatable—just steps from Grafton Street and St. Stephen’s Green, perfect for exploring Dublin. The rooms were modern, spotless, and thoughtfully designed for comfort. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay. I also loved the relaxed atmosphere in the lobby and bar area. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city!

If you're looking for fancy, this isn't it. If you're looking for an unbeatable location, affordable, clean and great customer service, this is a fantastic choice. I took a red eye from the US and got in very early. I emailed the hotel before hand for an early check in and was happy to pay the extra fee. They had made this note and although the hotel was fully booked the night before, we were first on the list to get our room by 11AM as soon as one was finished being clean. It allowed for rest and not waste a whole day in Dublin. The coffee cart in the lobby had great baristas every morning and was a nice treat. The location is unbeatable and it was so conveniently located to everything. I only used an uber once but was able to walk everywhere.
