It's situated 140 kilometres southeast of Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria.

You don't need to be on the road all day to see some nature. Just 35 kilometres out of Devin, Lake Batak is a favourite spot to enjoy some fresh air. More scenic surrounds await at Diavolsko Garlo- The Devil's Throat, 15 kilometres away.

Visit the Devin Museum to reflect and indulge in the local culture.

Feel the icy wind in your hair as you carve your way down the slopes at Bansko Ski Resort. If you're a real powder hound, you should also check out the runs at Pamporovo Ski Resort.

Yagodina, 12 kilometres to the south, is known for Trigrad Cave and Yagodina Cave. Why not make your way there and stop by these recommended sights? Or, stop at Shiroka Lŭka, 16 kilometres to the east of Devin, for the Museum of Speleology & Karst and the Stoykite - Snezhanka.
