Poor experience. Not very clean. Lobby bathroom looks like it has not been cleaned for days. Check in knowing we had 3 people traveling and only two towels in room. No notices of time of breakfast or amenities. Front desk always empty. No staff present.

If rating solely on the front desk staff, who were pleasant, always helpful and accommodating, also on the shuttle service and convenience of the rental car return, I would rate it higher, but the hotel needs some upgrades; re-glazing of bathtubs, new bed linen, bathroom plumbing (some work better than others), replace or vacuum the hallway carpet, and add more choices at breakfast, even a variety of bagels would be nice. Wingate would be my 3rd choice because of the wonderful staff, but not my 1st the next time my family and I return to Detroit.

The toilet in my room was not working properly and the shower was stuck in the up position so a bath would not have been possible. It was late when I checked in and I was tired so I did not notify staff until checkout. The bed was comfortable and it was quiet.

Smelly sheets and extremely noisy

Being a wyndham property I didnt expect this hotel to be so dirty. The sheets smelled terrible and the bed squeaked. We could hear people walking talking upstairs and outside all night long.
