Absolutely the worse hotel I’ve ever stayed in. I’ve traveled all over the country, and throughout Michigan with my travel buddy daughter. She requested to stay in Ferndale. This feels more like Detroit as Detroit is right across the street.
The pictures do not look like this run down establishment. There is no carpet in the hallway. Only old floor missing tiles. There is one tiny microwave to service the entire building. The place smells because of this microwave like some animal died. My daughter pinched her nose every time walking through the hotel.There is trash wrappers scattered about in the hallways, elevator and stairwell. There are children running through hallways. The hallways reek of smoke. Another reason why my daughter pinched her nose. My daughter pointed out a cigarette butt on the floor of our room. I will say the room was clean the bedding and towels. Which is the only reason I stayed. Never again. Do not stay at this disgusting place.
On top of all that the staff behind the desk are very rude and treat you like someone who would stay in a trash hotel. Not respectful at all. My daughter called this place straight dog water action. Never ever again. Negative stars.
