Lovly hotel, staff very helpful, car park not big enough,

Overall the stay was good. Did not need television on whilst having breakfast.

This old hotel showed it's age and was desperately in need of a face lift. The decor in public spaces left much to be desired and the carpets in the corridors were filthy. However our room (a superior double) was clean and comfortable and well looked after each of the 3 days we were there. The staff and the food, were a different matter altogether. We had dinner for the 3 nights, being joined by family on nights 2 and 3. The food quality was very good and enjoyed by all. The staff were exceptional. Polite, friendly and accommodating. A particular mention to two of our servers Neve and Ilona who went the extra mile to ensure that we and our family had the best experience. Would I go back again? maybe, as the positives outweighed the negatives. A lick if paint and a good clean up, and yes, I would.

The room was spacious and the bathroom had a large walk-in shower. The reception area was welcoming and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Hopefully the restaurant will be able to open soon but there was a pub serving food less than a ten minute walk away.

Our suite was very comfortable and well presented. Staff were helpful, but no wifi in our room and couldn't get either of the TV sets to work as we lacked the capacity to scan a code. Not a big problem. Excellently situated between the Lincoln castle and cathedral and surrounded by little shops and eateries.
