Great location for Lincoln city centre. Hotel staff are welcoming and friendly. Car park was good and safe. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Nice restaurant area although it is best to book for busy times. The decor is a little out dated but they are currently undergoing refurbishment so will look good when finished. All in all a very pleasant hotel. We would definitely stay again.

The hotel is looking quite jaded - flaking paint in the stairwells and rust on some window frames. The bathroom was outdated and we never got the shower to produce hot water, though the bath water was hot. It seems a bit penny pinching to charge £7 for car parking. Service was slow in the breakfast room, it appeared to possibly be understaffed. Our stay was okay, but for the price we paid I would have expected a step up in all areas.

Overall, average. Good things about the Lincoln Hotel: the location is great, right next to the Cathedral. All the staff are very good, friendly and helpful. Food was good. Decent size room, the room itself was clean and warm. Not good things: a lot! the rest of the hotel was cold. As others have said, the whole place is "tired", and needs renovation/overhaul. The corridors to the bedrooms smell of urine. Lift was out of order. Many other minor things. Just "ok" if just for one or two nights. But won't stay there again.

We have returned to this Hotel many times and love the location and great food. The rooms are always warm and clean. The staff always friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the Hotel had a wedding disco this last visit and was directly below our room so not much sleep. This wouldn't put us off returning.

THIS HOTEL is in need of renovation and I can't see how they can charge for what they do. The paint is flaky along corridors inside our room no WiFi apart from inside our bathroom the bath panel broken in several places broken tile below sink. Thick dust along the headboard. Window sills on stairs dusty along with dead insects

Great location and staff friendly. But… hotel is tired, very tired. Proudly 1960s and seems has never been updated since. For a one night stay in a good location it’s fine but set expectations to budget not luxury.

Our room was clean, comfortable and had a wonderful view of the Cathedral. Everything that we wanted to see was within an easy walking distance of the hotel. We went out for our evening meal and on our return we found a wedding reception in full swing. The Website for the hotel does say that they cater for weddings, however, what we were not expecting, was a very loud disco that went on until midnight. I would advise that if anyone is considering booking this hotel, check that there is not a wedding /wedding reception being held there!

The hotel is quite tired, although it looks like they are modernizing bit by bit. Bar, restaurant is nice, reception and common areas quite tired. Our room definitely needed a refit, although it was comfortable and clean. Bathroom had seen better days! What stood out as excellent is the staff, very helpful and cheerful. Overall a decent stay in an unbeatable location overlooking the cathedral.

Breakfast was perfect everything you wanted. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Problem with room was resolved swiftly. No complaints except bed was too hard for me and not comfy . Would definitely go again as location was fantastic too .
