Overall Experience: My stay at the hotel was excellent. From the moment I arrived, the staff provided a warm welcome and professional service. The check-in process was quick, and the concierge helped with luggage and local recommendations. Room Quality: The room was spacious, clean, and beautifully designed. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the bathroom had luxury toiletries, a large shower, and a bathtub. The view from the room was also impressive. Facilities: The hotel offered great facilities including a swimming pool, gym, spa, and fine-dining restaurants. Everything was well maintained and easy to access. Food & Dining: Breakfast had a wide variety of options, including fresh fruits, hot dishes, and international cuisine. The restaurant service was fast and the food quality was excellent. Service: The staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. Housekeeping maintained the room perfectly every day. Value for Money: Although the price was high, the quality of service and luxury experience made it worth it. Final Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A perfect place for a comfortable and luxurious stay. I would definitely recommend it to travelers looking for premium accommodation.

Quiet, efficient family run hotel, lovely staff, good value and nice breakfast. 10-minutes easy walk from Ryde seafront/Esplanade, and from St John's Road station.

We recently stayed at The Ocean View Hotel from 13th–15th February and unfortunately were very disappointed with our experience. We chose this hotel specifically because of the facilities advertised on the website, including a swimming pool, bar, coffee shop, evening dining, jazz club with cocktail bar, and the daily “Happy Hour” promotion. These amenities were a major factor in booking what we hoped would be a relaxing weekend break. However, on arrival—and throughout our stay—we discovered that the swimming pool, bar, coffee shop, and evening dining were all closed. There had been no prior notice of these closures on the website or in our booking confirmation email. To make matters more frustrating, there were posters displayed around the hotel advertising “Happy Hour” from 4–6pm daily, despite the bar not being open. Breakfast was also an additional charge, and while convenient, we found that far better quality and more reasonably priced breakfast options were available just a short walk away in the town centre. The lack of communication felt misleading, as the facilities advertised were simply not available. Had we known in advance, we would likely have chosen alternative accommodation. While the stay itself may suit guests who only require a room, (if you don’t mind a bed without a headboard), we feel the hotel should be transparent about which amenities are operational. Clear and accurate information would help manage expectations and avoid disappointment.
