The exterior facilities like the pool and breakfast room were in good order. The actual bedroom was a disappointment. The first room the toilet didn't work. The front desk gentleman got us a second room. The second room the water was running brown and rusty. The shower dripped with hardly any pressure. The young man helped us changed to the third room. Finally the third room all the plumbing worked, but the bathroom door handle was broken, the hot and cold water shower tabs were reversed and were looking broken as well, but by then we were too tired to ask to change to the 4th room. It seems that the hotel management was not putting much effort in the upkeep or maintenance of the rooms. Breakfast at least was good, with freshly cooked eggs to your order. The pool looked nice but we didn't have time to test it out. The hotel was not as active as the others on the same block. Perhaps the words about the poorly maintained rooms had gotten around?

The water in the shower and sink were draining slow. There is a giant window in the bathroom with a. view of what appears to be another hotel / someone’s room that is looking down into the bathroom which made me uncomfortable. The hotel is loud at night and you hear literally everything from people walking past to having a quiet conversation.

Room was clean and tidy, nice sheets and pillows, toilet and shower were also reasonable with working hot water. Food and drinks in the restaurant were great, and the staff are all very helpful and friendly. This hostel was better than some of our other Air BnBs etc. I would highly recommend if you’re looking for a lower costs but nice accomodation. I got a private room, and yes it can be slightly noisy, but it honestly didn’t bother me. Our room didn’t have a wall to ceiling door in the toilet, so keep that in mind when booking if you require privacy. Hostel also holds good social nights if you want to be included. I would definitely stay again.
