Everything good

Pros: Hotel staff friendly and helpful. Short walking distance to Mickleover centre with a wide range of restaurants, pubs/bars.Good breakfast selection. Cons: Hotel appears outdated, especially the rooms. The first room I was given (308) had a sliding door to the balcony with a gap letting cold air through and offered no sound proofing to the busy A516. This room was happily exchanged for another (307) but again the balcony door offered no sound proofing or heat retention despite closing properly. Poor mattress as you could feel the springs. Review would have been 2* if it wasn't for the friendly staff.

My wife and I always like to come to this hotel because of the good food and friendly staff any close to the airport

Always a friendly welcome and nothing is too much trouble. Excellent food and service.

Was told the original room we booked (superior) wasn’t available so they upgraded us to another room, I don’t see how our room was an upgrade with a view, a view of the car park out of one window. Bathroom was very tired looking and dirty in places. My experience at the spa was a joke and one I wouldn’t want to be repeated.
